What have I been up to? 500 hour yoga therapy teacher training, teaching my 15 year old to drive, helping my 13 year old to manage a newly diagnosed chronic illness, making sure my sweet 11 year doesn't get lost in the shuffle, giving away karma yoga, creating new pathways in my brain, practicing my new yoga skills on my lovely test subjects, teaching my regular schedule all week. yoga homework, kid homework, (homework stinks, btw), hoping my house doesn't fall down around my ears, planning and scheduling special workshops....
There is more...but I want to make sure I don't sound like I am complaining. This is a full life, no doubt. But a full life is full of life. I am full. My life, although busy and sometimes overwhelming is blessed.
I am fairly sure that without my meditation practice and without my yoga practice and definitely without the support of my husband I would have gone off the deep in a long time ago. Am I perfect at my daily meditation practice? No, for example, I committed at the beginning of this year to sit in meditation for a minimum of 10 minutes everyday. It is now the 23rd of January. If I am honest I can count about 11 times I actually sat in meditation. Do I write in my yoga homework journal daily after each session...nope. But I keep trying... I keep coming back and that, my friends, is the real practice. Coming back.
I will never be perfect. Not a perfect mother, not a perfect business owner, not a perfect yoga teacher or driving teacher. But I can be and I am a good enough mother, yoga teacher, wife ect.
Being good enough is just going to have to be enough.
